I recently decided that I was going to setup an AWC. After doing some research I decided that I wanted to go with a single motor pump so that in the event of a motor failing both of the water going into and out of my tank would both stop. I bough an older used, but functional masterflex console drive and with it came with a multichannel pump head which uses cartridges to hold the tubing against the rollers. When installing the tubing do I need to use any lubricant on the tubing or the rollers? I found a manual for the drive head online but I didnt see any mention of lubricant.
Also it didnt come with any tubing so I bought some santoprene tubing online, is that an appropriate type tubing for aquarium use?

You do not need to lubricate the tubing …. at least, I do not. This is the tubing I use in mine ….

Ok thanks. I was going to go with that tubing but the website I was going to get it from was out of the fittings that I needed so i got santoprene from where I bought my fittings from. I found a few threads that mention santoprene tubing but most people seem to use the PharMed like you're using.

If my masterflex head gets creaky, i'll take them off the masterflex and spray some WD40 in there. Seems to help. You don't need to lubricate the tubing itself.
