Fresh out of the box and went through all the directions.

I get to calibrate the syringe and it stops at .5ml.

No problem. I mark it in calibration and test it for accuracy. The syringe makes no compensation for its error.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

On a separate note, why does the reagent brand not stay selected? I go to pick the reagent and assign the viles. If I exit and go back to the parameter it acts like it was never assigned anything.

Where the syringe stops is not relevant just the amount it dispenses, it's allowing for the potential air bubble form an empty needle. If when you calibrate it it's out and you post a correction does it then dispense correctly when you test again?

Not saving the reagents for an individual test is a quirk of the software. If you tell it to do an individual test it will always ask for the reagents. When you set up scheduled testing it will ask for the reagents when setup and then keep that setting while performing the scheduled tests. Not the way I would have written it but in practice it isn't an issue.
