Matching Salinty

So I have a 13 gallon nano in my apartment.
I change the water weekly. I do 1 1/4 gallons.
I have my tanks salinity dialed in at 1.025.
They LFS I buy from is always a lil high 1.027/1.028.
I’m slowly adding RO to the new water to get to 1.025 before putting it in the tank, but now I’ve read that doing this also dilutes all the nutrients like alkalinity, calcium etc.
What’s the best way to dilute down the LFS salinity to match mine?

The traces follow the salinity dilution. So if you are starting with 1.028, going to 1.026 will dilute traces appropriately. At 1.028, they are too high.

Yes, provided of course that your measurement of salinity is correct.

Why do you think the shop is high? Have you asked them?
How did you calibrate your device?

How’s the tank doing? Are all the denizens doing well? Is your salinity stable week to week?

If so, you should continue as you are. Be mindful that specific gravity varies by temperature. As I also do weekly water changes, I make sure my mixing bucket is temperature matched with the aquarium and then I adjust the SG to match as well.

Yes all corals and fish are doing well. And I do have an identical heater to match temp. For my bucket.
