I recently got a matted filefish for my out of control aiptasia. However so far he hasn't touched them. It's only been a few days and I know that it might take them a little time to start eating them. So my question is is it safe to use Aiptasia X till he starts munching away on them?

Don't use Aiptasia x or any chemical like that. It won't hurt fish but is certainly not good for corals if they happen to take it in. What's worse is these chemical will still allow aiptesia to reproduce upon whatever they release as they expire. It will only make matters worse. Suggest to just use those aiptesia eating shrimps (forgot their name).

I've actually found that oftentimes aiptasia eating filefish don't start developing a taste for aiptasia until they have been zapped and weakened. So I continue to use Aiptasia X until they develop the taste.
