Matted filefish won’t eat...

not sure if it’s just too early, but he hasn’t touched any food to date. I got him Tuesday.

-Tried feeding fresh rods food mix on Wed...no interest.
-places aiptasia rock in tank
-tried pellets and flake, just watches it float by.

So including shipping time, he hasn’t eaten in almost 3 days now.

Anyone have a favorite food they like, or do I just need to give him more time? He’s in QT so no competition.

I'd give him a few more days to get accustomed to the tank, some fish can go a while without eating. Just make sure something is available at all times like the aiptasia rock. He will get hungry and hopefully start to figure things out.

Yes his purchase was specifically for aiptasia eradication to hopefully he sees the rock that has a half dozen aiptasia on it and chows down!!

I would still try to feed it other stuff if it doesn't take to the aiptasia, they eat all sorts of stuff in the wild and need a variety in their diet.
