Good choice! I love the dimensions of this tank. Kinda shallow and deep back to front make it easy to work in and gives the tank “depth” which I love to add open space.

I just arrived home yesterday from a trip so saw the tank for the first time in about 5 weeks.
I’m stoked to see that the tank is still Cyano and algae free. In fact the water Looks crystal clear and the sand bed is its natural color, no diatoms or algae. Coraline algae is also making its appearance.
I still need to do some tests to see where everything is at but on appearances things look good.
As I expected when I left my orange hammer further declined while I was away and is all but gone. However I’m leaving it in there for the moment as it somehow still has a bit of life weirdly holding on.
Filling my water drum as we speak to do a big water change and hopefully this week I might get some time to add a few tester corals.

Nice tank, finally finished all 10 pages reading. How do you like the MP40 mate?

Thanks for reading through mate!
The MP40 is great, quiet and good flow options. I think there are a lot of great options for flow on the market atm and you can really just choose which style of pump you want.

Quick little update, tested nitrates yesterday and came back at around 50ppm! o_O
Tested phosphates and came back undetectable on my elos test kit. So thinking i may be a bit phosphate limited.
Short of buying phosphate to dose to the tank im just going to try feeding phosphate rich foods such as nori and seaweed extreme to hopefully raise them a bit.

Also the last couple pictures i posted seemed to have disappeared.. instead of direct uploading them i tried postimage.org after learning the quality is slightly suppressed through the direct upload.
Think i may get onboard Flickr and see how that goes.

I've got the same going on in my tank lol 40ppm nitrates and 0.085ppm phos. I've got the auto-feeder feeding four larger lots of pellets a day now in hope to bring the nitrates down

Flickr is quick and easy to use.
Great! time for me to get on board then!

Haha then at least im not alone! Maybe i need to up my pellet game! I was pretty heavy handed tonight on the hikari seaweed extreme :D

@Mattres hey i really like your wall cleat to hang your light. I might do that instead of hanging from ceiling. Any insight on how you made that especially where you got metal pieces with circles in them that extend out. Thanks in advance. I'm not that handy!
