Matts JBJ 45 build

Personally I went with Rossmont Pumps and the Waver that goes with them. A little more customization than the Vortech, cheaper, however, I've never owned a Vortech pump.

And about the fish. I personally love Six Lines so that gets my vote.

Thanks, I dig your avatar!

I have one just like this.. :D

How's the tank doing?

Luckily we made it through Hurricane Irma ok, only lost power for about 23 hours and the tank held up fine. I've been working like crazy because of it though. Unfortunately others in our area were not so lucky.

Like @EriksOasis said, Were glad you safe! From living in AZ most of my life its crazy to think about what actual weather can do. Here we just get heat, 25 days over 110 here this year, monsoons, and haboobs. I could never imagine living somewhere where eathquakes, tornadoes, or hurricanes are an annual occurrence.

Tagging along for ideas. I'm thinking of setting up one of these 45g since i took down my jbj 28.

I’ve had several tanks and I think this has been the most stable and productive thus far. My 65 was pretty good to but idk there’s something about this one.

I agree the all in one setup makes for easy reefkeeping and hassle free.

Update:
Added a nice chunk of Hollywood Stunner to try and give some definition to this side of the rock structure which was kindda flat and somewhat shadowed by the leather.

Also Hydor did not want the malfunctioning Aqamai pump back so I decided to stick it back in the tank to help move water through the large cavity created by my rock. You can’t see the pump without looking down the back wall from the side but I put a red arrow pointing to the area.

Tank is looking good

Coming up on a month should move the last post so just an update. Things are doing really well. I did have a fish jump then replaced him with an orange spot blenny that was AWESOME!! But he jumped the night after I put him in [emoji31] so we replaced him with a beautiful royal gramma

Tank really filled in nice. I would think about getting a mesh screen top if you’re going to keep known jumpers if you choose to.

Yeah I’m well aware of the mesh tops and have made a few however the rounded corners of this one created a slightly different dynamic to making a lid for this one that doesn’t ruin the clean look and I haven’t yet tried to tackle it yet. I may eventually but probably not.

Awesome looking clown! What kind?

Love the tank .... I've been thinking of changing my light to a hydra twentysix hd led
Are you complete happy with it ? Do you think it has enough power for the jbj45?

I've never been more satisfied with a light. Everything is doing great and I even have a bird's nest bottom center of the tank that is thriving. I cant remember my exact power settings but it's not running full power. I don't thing there would be any issues with light, even for all sps if placed accordingly.
