Alright guys my wait is finally over. I just got my stuff from rapidled.com. I ordered 24 leds (10 royal blues, 8 cool whites, and 6 blue leds). the packaging could have been better, the heatsink was directly on the side of the box and one of the fins was bent. I am also upset that the heatsink had some visual deffects on the side of the heatsink that is visable. It advises on the site that the bottom side where the leds go was going to have some defects, but not the visable sides. It's the black anodized heatsink. Do you guys think I should contact Mike at rapidled about it? Everything else seems in order. I even recieved a free battery tester for individual leds to make sure they are not doa. I'll post pics of progress later.

Looking forward to seeing this. Definitely contact him and see what he thinks.

Absolutely. Thats not cool. Good luck man

Alright guys here are some pics of all the items out of the box and the heatsink damage. Mike responded promptly and gave me the option of returning it free of charge and getting another one sent out, or recieve a 40% discount on the heatsink. I decides to keep it and take te 40%

Yup I decides that I might as well lol
thats cool im curious to know how they do. So let me know what you think of them cause i might add them to my fixtures. Im using the true lumen strip right now and it does ok for my 29 gal, but im also putting a diy led over my 120 and i want something with a little more power.

I started messing with this balast without reading the instructions, thinking I knew which screw was used to regulate current. Well I read the instructions online and I messed with the wrong screw

its the one I'm pointing at. How do I fix it guys?

idk wish i knew i think you changed the voltage. but i dont know what the voltage was set at in the first place do you have another driver thats the same so you can read the voltage with a meter. then change that driver back to match it if its diff?

Trouble is I messed with both. But it is the voltage. I have a meter if anyone can tell me what its supposed to be set at. And what setting on the meter I need to have so that i can measure voltage

the volts dc on the meter should have a v with a solid line over the top of three dashes. and i think you are looking for 48v

I think49 is the max on this driver ill do the math with each driver and tune it a little lower than what it wants

good luck dude wish i had an solid answer for ya. If anything contact mike and he will tell you exactly what to do.
