Maxi-Jet Replacement

I needed to order up two replacement Maxi-Jet 1200's and saw that they have changed these pumps. I don't like what I'm reading as far as the reviews of these new pumps. Am I being paranoid about ordering these new MJ's.....or is there some other similar small pump that has proven performance. Please help.

I did a little digging.

Why!

The original die hard MJ's were made in Italy. These pumps were legends.....used in many different applications.....and had an excellent track record.

The new versions are made in China and do not have a good track record. Oh crap!

I need a replacement pump.

It looks like I can still purchase the original Italian MJ's .....but now under the name of Cobalt.....and a bit more expensive. But I'm worth it....and so are these originals! Curse the new MJ's.

I made the mistake of buying a couple of the new MJs, They work, but don't seem to have as much flow and are very noisy. I ended up getting some Cobalts; they are the originals.
