I have one in my tank. Hasnt moved much from where i placed him mid tank on some rock. Opend to about 4" during the day, and kinda curls up at night. Spot feed him..

I have two in my reef. Just be aware they are very capable of killing your fish. Even ones larger than you might expect. That being said, I've had mine for about two years and none of my fish (even a mandarin) have wandered into them.

We had one for 3 days until it grabbed my mandarin. Took a popcicle to get it to release the fish. Never again unless its a specific tank for them

Honestly, I put mine on an island of rock to keep them in one place. Mine both prefer to attach right along the rock and sand line. They will find where they want to go and there won't be anything you can do to change it's mind so it may go where you don't want.

Thought I had a pic on my computer but I guess not. I have mine on a pillar type rock goes >1/2 way up the tank, his foot is deep inside a crevice and has been in that exact spot for 4+ years, although it has switched tanks. I'll get a pic so you have an idea of what I mean. Moderate light, moderate flow and mine is happy as can be.

Ok, he is in my tank with my peppermint shrimp right now. I might just trade him for something reefy. Its getting more prominent coloration under my overkill pc bulbs. (Yes I still have a pc fixture haha) but its 4x55s over a 29---overkill)

I had like 10 of them in a garden in my old reef, they dont need a lot to do well and dont move around hrdly at all.

Lol...kalk paste may do it for ya. Although that would be sad. I feel ya. I'm fighting a sudden reef killer angel. 5yr old fish and he's a word I can't say here :O. Mine is in a 29 with 2 brains. Nothing to worry about there

Since I have a whole tank to fill I will be interested in propagating these guys.
I like the meat cleaver technique.

Any thought on that?
It looked as though it made the job much easier than the razor blade. There was a video of a guy doin a demo with both. Pretty good quality for sure!!
