Good evening guys,

So I just bought a clam that just under 1.5" wide but it keeps being knocked down. My question is can I glue it to a rock using some epoxy?

I wouldn’t because you run the risk of injuring its byssal threads or if you have to relocate it in the future. What kind is it! Some Tridacna live in sandy areas whereas others are boring clams that actually bore into rocks or coral.
Best thing is to start off with the clam, depending on the species, on the bottom of your tank on top of a flat piece of rock. Eventually the clam will attach to your rock and then you can move it without it continuously falling down.

Squamosa and Derasa live in sandy bottoms whereas Maxima and Crocea’s live in rocky areas.

Do not glue the maxima. Use a cradle shaped rock to set him on and let him attach his byssal threads...if hes not setting threads something is wrong..postioning, flow,pests...etc

Put something flat under it to attach to. Then put some rubble on the sides of it so that it cannot tip over.
