Maximizing “brightness” but minimizing PAR.

I realize this is kind of an odd question for a reef forum, but I’m finding it difficult providing enough light to properly view the fish while minimizing PAR.

Any ideas? Freshwater setup if that matters.

Raise the light higher from tank maybe. We here are usually trying to maximize par lol

It’s counterintuitive for me too … 15 years of saltwater will do that to you I guess

Put it higher but turn it up I feel like that should do desired effect
