What's the longest distance I can run the good water line from my RODI unit? Thinking about going up into the attic and over to the aquarium a couple rooms over. I imagine this longer distance will add resistance and pressure to the system.

Thanks!

Depends on your incoming water pressure, somewhat.
You should be ok as long as you are not going up 3 stories.

From your RODI system or To your RODI system? I don’t think the product water has a lot of head pressure once it leaves the DI canister.

I would think any back pressure due to outlet head would be overcome by inlet pressure. 33 feet of water = 14.5 psi, so 1 story about 5 psi. If the inlet water pressure is 65 psi, the effective would be 65 - 5 = 60.
Line resistance does not come into play significantly with the low flow of rodi.

I run mine into Brute container on wheels.

I’ve stored my RODI unit in my laundry room and storage tank across the house with no issues even at <60 PSI. The line runs 10’ up, 30’ over and 5’ down.

I did run the RODI tubing in conduit to limit chances of tubing being damaged and hopefully cause a leak to find its way out of the conduit onto the floor vs stay in the ceiling should that unfortunate event ever happen.

My line runs about 30 feet total and one level up in my house. I have around 65 psi pressure. No problems

RODIS are fine with distance not height. Depending on attic height from unit, could be a problem. 1 level should be OK. More than that you’ll have to see.
