Maxpect 330 Magnet Problems

All,
I purchased a pair of 330 gyres here on R2R. They were sold as basically new, which they seem to be. The magnets however are not holding at all. I fit them in my dry tank today as a test and they barely hang on, and I mean barely! They fold over. With any jiggle of the cord. My glass is 12mm so 1/2”. What are my options? Any help would be appreciated. I really am bummed about this.

I know that feeling I just had a tank bust at the seams and start leaking everywhere! There’s a lot of helpful people on here I’m sure someone will chime in with a solution
