so i have a maxspect 420r 160w 27" on a 20g nuvo fusion and i have the following corals
-rainbow acans (bottom)
-zoas(mid)
-green star polyps(bottom)
I would love some help on the settings like what perfentages should i run through out the day and times to help growth

I had a razor 320w, but I ramped up the blues up to 60 percent, and whites up to 70 percent from 9am to 8pm. I grew sps and everything well, tailored the colors to my preference. As long as your getting growth, really the only thing to look at is bleaching if you have sps.

But doesnt bright light hurt coral?

All corals like light, some more than others. You could go a little less with your corals, but it probably won't hurt them. It's all relative to your color preference, and balancing algae growth.
