Anyone have an experience with this skimmer? Good, bad or ugly?

Yes, I can't get any feedback on this skimmer. Only advertising

I have one and absolutely love it. It is a workhorse, easy to clean/maintain and relatively quiet. I have nothing but good to say about mine, it is the best skimmer I've ever owned.

I believe there are several threads on here about it if you do a search.

I haven't had an RO skimmer in quite a while so I'd be lying if I answered that however; my tank sits about 16" behind our main couch in the Living Room and it doesn't bother me at all while watching tv. I think it's pretty darn quiet.

With more moving parts, have you noticed any parts deterioration? Any problems in general?

None at all, it is well designed and solidly built from what appears to be high quality parts. Even though they are a little pricey if it broke beyond repair I would immediately purchase another one. Did you catch their newest one for a more modest price? It's in their "Jump" series line of products, looks pretty nice.

For someone reason its half if the ad600 price. $350.00 vs $700.
I wonder why

I think because it's quite a bit smaller and has features. Still seems like it'd be a great skimmer just not as big and fancy as the AD 600.

Yes I have this skimmer on my Waterbox 7225 peninsula. The skimmer works great, small footprint, super quiet, easy to take apart to clean (no tools needed), has a float valve to stop skimmer from ever overflowing, fully adjustable with dc pump, its a little pricey but well worth the cost. I had a reef octopus 202s before this one

Typo; meant to say LESS features than the AD 600....

You like better than reef octopus?

Yes I do but to be fair the price is much more for the ad 600.. with that said it is much quieter, has a smaller footprint, has overflow preventer (float valve) and has much more control for fine tuning.
