When is the last time it's been cleaned? Typically once it starts getting dirty with build up the blades trap air and it will require a cleaning. I would soak ours in 70/30 mix of vinegar and water then run it 100% for 24 hours. Take it apart and Tooth brush it then back in the tank. A temporary fix is pausing it on feed mode, you'll see bubbles release from the blades.

I'd contact coralvue. Mine was dead silent when new at 100%

Mine was very loud for the first few weeks, then it was ok (not annoying but audible) for the next 2 months, but now it needs cleaning and is getting to be a problem again. If it’s above 70% it’s the loudest thing in the aquarium. Worst part is the change in sound as it ramps up and down.

Thats exactly it when it ramps up and down its not super loud its just really annoying

Mine is crazy loud, sounds like a leaf blower when it's > 70%. I've read the 250's are significantly quieter, but of course they won't work with the 230's controller. Mine was noisy out the box and hasn't gotten better in over 6 months

i contacted the company and they sent me a new wet part
