Anyone yet tried a maxspect riptide/gyre pump in a corner tank? Curious to know if it can be used, and if so, how you have it oriented

Tagging along incase someone has info , I currently have a mp40 and two mp10 I know it's over kill but the mp 40 alone is probably to strong for my tank , have read that the gyre is a little more powerful than the mp40 if that's the case I can only imagine the sandstorm it would cause in the tank . Trying to angle it would be the kicker .

I ordered one to try on my 300DD and I have it in the left corner in the vertical position. All I can say is wow, I really like the way you can program it to run in "forward" and "reverse" at different percentages. As of now I really enjoy it and its quite, we will see over the next few weeks. I might have 4 MP-40's for sale.....

Can u please tell me how to post a new topic I forgot

Running my Gyre in a 90 tech tank...works fantastic...replaced 2 mp40's. First time it kicked on, it virtually removed all the detritus on the sand bed. I run it on forward/reverse cycles and works great. My over flow is in the mid/back of the tank and no problems with flow being obstructed. Best pump i've ever used. Corals responded right away and love the flow. Well worth the $ spent...especially vs vortech's.

I have been using it on a 120 gal. My soft corals are really reacting positively to the additional flow. I am only running 40% in reverse and 50% in the forward direction. The controls are good but I wish I were able to control it with my Apex.
