I’ve got two Gyre XF330s and an ICV6 controller. I’ve been messing around with settings lately to find something that works for me. In the custom modes I have no issues, and OGC mode seems to work as expected, but when I put the pumps in LTC mode at 80% Max and 20% min all they do is just swap between 20% and 10% constantly. I can’t imagine that’s how this mode is designed to work. Anyone else have this issue?

So I figured this out. Turns out it was related to my icecap battery backup. although it was plugged in, the top plug must have an issue because it wasn’t putting out power. So although the pumps were getting power, somehow the battery backup not outputting anything was causing LTC mode to just constantly swap between 20/10. I moved the battery backup plug to the bottom plug and it started working as expected. Odd

And what set up do you recommend?
OCG or LTC?
I have a tank with dominant sps but my lps in ocg have much flow and in LTC i think is a low flow for my acros but i don't really know if it is true

I use a custom setting. I find OGC doesn’t work well unless you want to swap paddles because there are too many times when both pumps run in reverse. LTC has too much time when it swaps between 10/20% so the total water volume moved during the day is too low for me.

What type of reef do you have?
Could you share your settings?
I really don't know how program my gyre but i will considere it

I have a mixed reef in a Red Sea Reefer 350. I run two Gyre XF330s. Here is my QR code for this program that you can import if you have the same pumps and the ICV6. But it’s pretty simple. Basically it alternates between both pumps on random mode at 60% (not synced) for a few hours and the it does an alternating gyre for a couple of hours at 40% one way and 10% the other ramping between the two pumps with a 20 second ramp and then 15seconds at max speed. At midnight it switches back to random at a lower speed.

If you want to do custom programs on your gyre I’d highly recommend getting the ICV6. It’s much easier to program in your phone than using the clunky controller.
