Do you run your maxspect with the mesh net or no net?

I’m new to gyre and I took the mesh net off to clean them and noticed a massive difference in flow with them off.

have you had any problems with fish getting sucked into them?

No I've never had anything get in there but my tank is also a water box 180 that's 5 ft long. I could see it being an issue in smaller tanks or if you've got nems that like to get loose.
