That is not good!

I just took mind down and cleaned them last week but it is something I will be watching!

Do you have Polyfilters you can run?

No not really it is on the outside of the tank. But it has not lasted too long I wish I could remember when I put it in maybe 6 to 9 months

The outside magnet rusted that badly?

Safe for the tank, but doesn't speak much for longevity!

I have some magnets that I have accidentally allowed to snap together so I know those will fail soon and I keep an eye on them. I've been very careful with my gyre magnets but I will closely watch both sides from now on.

Are they going to replace it under warranty?

That was real helpful of them. Why is it not covered under warranty?
Normally magnets are not covered by warranties. All it takes is letting them snap together once to damage them. It would have been a nice gesture though.

Ouch, you'd think for such an expensive pump they would replace something like a magnet without hesitation and keep their customers happy...

I've been running a 130 and 150 for over two years. With the exception of worn out propellers and bushings, they look brand new.
