Maxspect razor r420r 180 W 15K question

Hello all I run a maxspect razor r420r 180W over my 57G rimless tank
I keep softies for most part Leathers,toadstool,mushrooms,xenia, gsp,fragspawn, zoaz ,waving hand polyp,and other assorted polyps
How should I set my maxspect razor r420r ?
I do like a bluer tank ? what is the max % i should run this fixture > %65 blue %35 white peak day 3 hours More ?? Less ?

Hi, IMO Pick a standard photo period based on your work schedule so you can see your tank and corals. I have a slightly longer night blue that ramps down longer and ends later.
at only 16k its not as blue as many others out there with both channels at full. I set my lights mostly based on how it looks first. to do that set at 100% and then lower the white till you like it. Wait five or ten min between adj to let your eyes adjust and then note the ratio.
my tank peaks for 9 of the 13 hrs the light is on. I think its fine, as MH and t5 dont ramp.

Intensity is a bit harder. Set the lamp so you get the best possible widest coverage. I use a lux meter to set the intensity. My Razor really only maxes out at 12 in at 3 to 40,ooo lux. about 400 to 600 par at the top.
Look at the Razor website, they have lots of par data to help. Its one of the reasons I bought it. As far as light for the corals in my DT non razor I have xenia growing at around 400 to 500 or more par at the top and 20 in down at the bottom. so its really species specific. some coral are very adaptable. and always acclimate by lessening the intensity and going up from there.

measure the peak intensity at the proffered ratio, lower it and go up on the intensity over the next several weeks.

12:00 0-30
15:00 100-100
19:00 100-100
21:00 0-30
23:00 0-0

Key is to acclimate very slowly before starting to go up in lighting intensity and time.

Um you have 7 time points, r420r only has 6. Typo?

I'm running a 160w 16k on a 29 gallon standard which is 18 inches deep and my schedule is as follows:
TP1 08:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%
TP2 09:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP3 11:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP4 18:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP5 20:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP6 22:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%

I have mostly sps and lps but also have a few zoas about halfway up the rocks that love the light.
