Maxspect Razor settings

Really depends on the tank height, and the specific wattage you got. If this is a new light, start the setting off at about 30% for each channel and slowly work your way up until your LPS "tell you" it's too much. You will know.

2 420r 120 watt 16000 K
32" deep tank. I've had them about 6 months now. My coral have grown well. I was just curious on others setup

I have the 160w with the 120 degree reflectors over my 40 breeder sps frag tank. I'll admit I've fiddled with the whites a lot but I'm just about settled at 50-60% whites and 100% blues. I have mine on hanging yoyos too so I can raise or lower it. It's about 12" over the tank. I'm not saying that's the right settings and I'll likely change them again when I get an urge. Even without the 90 degree stock optics I've bleached some corals on high settings.

I have mine on the factory legs it came with and over a 30"L x 12"D x 18"H (standard sized AGA/Tetra 29 gallon) with the following lighting schedule:

Maxspect R420R 160w 16k

TP1 08:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%
TP2 09:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP3 11:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP4 18:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP5 20:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP6 22:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%

Seems to work well for me and my corals. My tank is SPS dominant with SPS up top and middle and a few LPS down towards the bottom.
