Maxspect Razor with T-5's- DIY build

I just found this thread and am very interested in this as I am planning to do the same thing. I am upgrading my 90G to a 180G this weekend and since i already have 2 16k razor, i decided to get a 3rd and will add 2 T5 bulbs. The issues i am having are.
1. How to mount the T5 and the razor under the canopy. I like the clean look so everything much be under the canopy. I cannot tie the T5 to the Razor like you did as I am going with 60" bulbs and have 3 razors. Building a 12" high canopy and will try to add the retrofit T5 kit to the canopy.
2. What color T5 bulbs should i use? The tank will be LPS dominant but i am certain to have a few pieces of sps as well.
I would appreciate any thoughts on the above two points.

Hi Milton,

I would just use the LED / T-5 with ATI- Blue Pluses I used these and they worked out find. Most said to use just plan Actinics but I wanted more Pop. It worked out just as I wanted. Here is a Photo from my Combo

thanks for getting back to me.
The colors on your tank looks really nice. Can you tell me what is the light cycle you have on the razor? what % are you running them and for how long?
Regarding the T5s, I was thing of a different color other that the actinic/blue range. My thinking was i can just dial up the blue channel on the razor to get more blue.
what do you think?

I'm also thinking about adding T5s to my Razor to get a more uniform coverage. Can you share your light schedule? Where in your cycle are you turning your T5s on and off?

Add me to the list..... I have been looking for months for a way to augment my Maxspect LED's, this is perfect. Can you tell me where you picked up the t-5 fixtures?

I have the Zetlight 6600-A fixture, which is essentially the same LED and in the process of adding T5's to my set up as well. I did not think of attaching them as the sides of my fixture have lights on them, so I am just planning to add a T5 fixture to each side of my tank. I have a 150 (48×30×24) so the par on my sand is 50 because of the xtra depth. I will add pics soon.
