Maxspect Razor X R5 200W LED Fixture

Hello All, long time lurker, first time poster. I'm considering purchasing the Maxspect R5-200 and was wondering if the current version is the same version from lets say 4 years ago? Has anything changed with this model in the past few years. If I purchase a model from 4 years ago, will it be an inferior/outdated/obsolete version of the current model?

Well, you only need to look at AI or EcoTech to see how much their lights have changed in the last few years.

As far as I know the razor x r5 is the same as it was when it came out. I’m using the 100w on my 13 gallon nano.

Yeah, I know other manufacturers have changed their lights over the last few years. Both AI and EcoTech have a clear distinction between their older models and their newer ones. Maxspect hasn't had that recently, you would have to go all the way back to the recurve models to see a difference. So it seems like the razor x model is the most current one. I just wanted to make sure since all these other manufactures are popping out newer models every few years.
