Maxspect RSX 200 settings help

Hi, I have just got the maxspect RSX 200 and controller, does anyone know why I can't scan QR codes with it and my app keeps closing when I try, Im not keen on the preset ones and have seen some good ones where people have shared the QR code, I scan the code and the app either goes black or shuts down. Thanks
