Hi all,

I am looking for lighting for a 80 gallon (48 L x 24 W x 16 H) tank with mostly LPS/soft coral, but with optionality to add some SPS in future. Do you think the Maxspect x R5 200W LED would be suitable? If not, do you have any other suggestions for a similar to lower budget? I'm in Canada and this light is on sale for $680 CAD.

Below is what BRS has to say .....

The Maxspect Razor X 200w is perfect for any reef tank up to 40" long and will provide enough light to grow almost all type of coral. If you have a soft or LPS coral tank the 200w module can cover tanks up to 47" long with the extendable mounting legs.

Maximum Coverage - 50" x 26"
Effective Coverage - 48" x 22"

It should work with no issues. I’m using the R5-150 on my 40br and have a bit of spill over while sitting on the stock legs.
