I have been thinking about getting 2 x Maxspect XF230 and controller for my 75 gallon mixed reef. But have not found many reviews on them. Saw a couple black friday deals where they are 20% off and am just might pull the trigger.

Anyone who owns them have a review? How are the working for you?

Currently have 2 x Jebao pp-8. If I don't upgrade to the xf230s I will probably get the jbwave to go with the pp-8s. Any JBwave owners out there? Have seen a few times that the jbwave takes the jebaos to a whole new level.

I have 2 250s on my 220gl sps dominant and they are at 50 percent and it's plenty of flow and they move a wall.of water

I have a 150 and I am getting a 250 with controller this week. Had some issues at first like exploding magnet mount on wet side and flimsy rotors but coralvue replaced them both. The amount of water it moves keeps me from going with someone else.

I'm running two of the *30 gyres (a 130 and a 230) in my 525XL at about 40%. I had some problems getting the first one (the 130) to stay on; the rotors would bind on the spindles and the controller would shut it down, then try it again a few minutes later. I ended up having to take it apart and reassemble it. After that, it's worked great (it's all apart for cleaning right now, in fact). The 230 had no issues; the packaging is far better, so I suspect that I was not the only one who had issues with a new unit being out-of-alignment. The controller handling two units is awesome; keeps the number of things in my cabinet down. The controller's programming is pretty easy, though I think I have my clock backwards as it seems to ramp up at night (instead of down like I thought I had it set...). User error there, I'm sure (something I'll tackle once I get them on the Apex). The feed mode, if you use it (I rarely do) is easy; just a quick push gets you 30min of feed time.

Having two of them in a 75gal would likely be a bit of an overkill, but it allows for the back-and-forth flow that you can't get from just one, so it's likely the way to go. I ran the 130 opposite a conventional powerhead for a while and it worked okay, but things seem happier with the dual gyre setup.

My guess is if you pulled the trigger on the the 230 at 20% of you just had it cancelled like mine was :( I guess that wasn't supposed to go live until next week.

That's so dumb. I like how only some of the coralvue crap is active on the sale. Why not just let vendors put it all on sale at once instead of some stuff now and others later.

Yes, If i do get them I would alternate em. I'd want two just to vary the flow more.

Bummer, I guess I have more time to decide.

I have 2 230s and they are a bit noisy even at low speeds. I come from a 150 totally silent. I don't know if it's manufacturing defect or normal.

The few reviews I have seen this does come up a bit.
