I am planning on two XF250's on our 180 gallon build. I was going to skip the controllers and pickup two Icecap controllers to communicate with the Apex. However the more research I have done I now understand that if I go the route of buying the "Pump Only" option I will not have a power supply to operate the pumps. Is there somewhere I can pickup the power supply? Or do I need to get the XF250 pumps with controllers just so I can get the power supplies?

If you can find out the voltage & amperage of the power supply they come with from someone here or the manufacturer, you can generally find cheap (>$20) power supplies on Amazon. I've personally bought replacement power supplies for reefbrites and even radions from Amazon and have never had an issue. Most likely a 24v 2.5amp like this would be more than sufficient

Thanks! Now it looks like I just need to find out some information. Also the connector size I imagine.

Almost all power supplies for lights and powerheads/wave makers use either 24 or 36v power supplies. The amperage doesn't matter alot so long as it's for as many or more amps than the unit calls for.

Some of the smaller powerheads and low wattage use 12v power supplies
