Maxwells UK reef tank

I have been running the tank over 12 months now and recently joined the forum , my tank is 54 x 30 x 30 if the admin think this should be in another section please advise or transfer.I posted a pic in the introduction section which pointed me here to do a tank thread so it will be pic heavy with changes made as i go to equipment etc.

currently - 2 x Orphek Atlantiks + radion pro ( had probs with atlantics going to change to ATI hybrid in near future)

KZ skimmer
reef fanatics reactor
2 x DD fr75 reactors
Dastaco reactor
2 x jeboa dc 8000 ( 2 pumps in pic isolated now )

hey awesome setup love the aquascape. may i ask why did you put egg crate underneath the sand?

My other tank was a 30inch cube and the coral had over grown it and was touching the glass, this one is already going the same way but I have had several issues with lighting.the egg crate under the rock is to stop fish fro burrowing under and causing rocks to move or claps it's a common way of doing it in the UK. I will get a pic of my old tank up for you and also the new tank it has had a lot of growth with a milk a gone to approx 12 inches, his trip 10 inches forest fire going wild and I have 4 ssc colonies plus 3 frags growing well and others.

I started this tank with the best light rig of 2 X 20k halides plus 4 T's which was the best light I have used but I wanted more control so I went with leds 2 X orphek and 1 radion pro at the minute.I have had a load of issues with the Orphek both software and hardware with all the UV leds burning out in 11 months .I am going to change them to the ATI hybrid in the near future.I have lost a few corals along the way and have 1 left to replace.thanks for the kind comments
