Hello all!! So I have this Milli in my tank for about 2 months, and since introduction its had it polyps out and good coloration, but no encrusting growth. Also it occasionally puts out its white filaments from its tips (see pic) when feeding the tank or water change. Since it hasnt encrusted and I see those filaments today I decided to pull it off the rock and dip it again in the red sea dip x. After dipping it I found a couple things I cant put an ID on... I hope they arent the bad things I've been reading about... So I figured I'd ask whats everyones thoughts on them. These are the best pics I can get of these... They are very very small and dont move in the cup they are in... they maybe dead, or they may have never been alive IDK....I dont see bite marks on the acro nor any eggs... The acro has good coloration just no encrusting growth... I typically see encrusting growth within weeks of adding to the tank.

Great! Not the news I wanted to hear. Just ordered some AEFW. X by fauna Marine. It looks like that's the only acro that is showing signs of stress and the only one that came off during a dip. But I do have some torches and hammers that seem a little irritated. I wonder if those worms could be on those coral?

Does look a bit like aefw but wish the picture was magnified more. Google some images to confirm for yourself.

The other images look like normal pods.

Assuming you feel comfortable with the ID:
IME, AEFW-X is rubbish. I treated at double dose for 8 weeks and it did nothing. YMMV. You are likely better served by dipping that piece every 7 - 8 days for a month. Remove any frag plug or dead flesh and remount. I would do that during a "rest" not while dipping. A tad less stress that way.

this worked for me..

Yeah, looks like AEFW. Best solution is to pull your acros, dip, and quarantine them because you'll probably need several. If you keep acros in the tank they can persist.

Bayer dip will take care of them pretty quick.

I appreciate all the info, I already ordered the AEFW X this morning... I did check Google searches and saw that the yellow worm like thing looked almost identical to the image search... I'm wondering if maybe I've caught it just in time? I have about 10 acros in my mixed reef and this one is showing signs... But my WD is showing a slight discoloration compared to what it was months ago, could these be affecting that?
