I have a 240 gallon reef running 2x reefbreeeders photon V2 and 2 T5 blue plus . RLSS 8 skimmer. 4 EcoTech Mp40w 1 Ecotech return pump M1. Tank has been up for 2 years as a reef tank.

I can’t get polyp extension on sps and Zoas don’t do well at all no matter where I place them. All info first. Calcium 495 magnesium 1325 salinity 1.025 nitrate o phosphate 0 ( taken with Hanna meter with fresh media). Par at mid level is 350 and lower level nearest bottom is 100. Top of water column is about 425-500. I dose Esv 2 part and esv magnesium religiously using a doser

13 fish total in tank
Fish include 6 - one inch green chromis. 2 - one and half inch clowns. 1- three inch blue hippo. 1- four inch naso gang. 2- three inch yellow tangs. 1- 2 inch red head wrasse.

Do I need more fish to help coral grow?

Where is your alk at and is it stable?
I would say with NO3 and PO4 at zero your corals are starving. Have u tried amino acids? More fish would help get nutrients up and feed corals. Also your calcium a little high in relation to your mg no big deal though.

You certainly have the room for more fish, an easy intervention.
You could also try not running the skimmer 24/7 or increase feedings, or dose a nitrate product.
Is the sps coloration good?

I have Reef Breeder Photon on a 55 I had some trouble with zoos but it is the flow in the tank for me. after a month or so they get used to it and open SPS is ok love it, You may need to dose NO3 and PO4

Alk 11.5 and stable.

Have been using reef crystals for the past few years just realize that it has a very high alkalinity and I do water changes often so I need to get that down

Intense lighting from led high alk and low nutrient is not an ideal environment for sps .Lower your alk-8-9, get more fish(feed more) and bring up your nitrates around 5 ppm and phosphates around 0.03.it will take a month or two but you should see improvement

I shared par value so light is not really a problem for sps. Agreed on the calc and alk being too high. Thanks.

With alk that high, you def want to raise your n03/p04. I would raise them anyway and get that alk around 9 or so. add fish and feed more. I have the same tank you do (minus the center overflow) and have about 30 fish in my tank..and might add 10-15 more.
