Maybe my galaxeas have a chance?

I got 2 Galaxea frags a few weeks ago, and at first they seemed happy, but both retracted pretty soon after acclimating. I tried a few spots in the tank and they didn't recover, however it didn't look like flesh was melting, so I decided to hold onto them and see what would happen.

weeks went by with them staying the same, just looking plump but retracted. Just today I noticed a bunch of new polyps on both of their bases.

Is it possible they've just been expanding this whole time?

When my candy cane corals grow a new head they shrink up for a few days then return to normal could be a combo of both.

Any updates on this? How are your galaxeas? As someone that collects galaxeas I must firstly comment that this is a really hardy coral. When I first started out a few years back, I had my tank crash taking out every single coral including my galaxea. Or so I thought, months later with the tank still running I found a single polyp growing on the skeleton. Fast forward, here it is today [First Picture]. Havent really had them retract except for new frags. But they adjust real quickly.
They love flow and can take low to medium flow but I do notice they shrivel more when lighting is too intense for them. They can be however acclimated to medium intensity.

Most likely just watch it see if it closes I would say put it higher in the tank but I really don’t know to much on galaxies,

Pretty much the same to be honest... The polyps are pretty plump, just not extended as much as when I first got them. To be honest I'm no longer certain how they should look.

To me this is good news, your galaxeas are doing ok. How about your flow? I notice that mine still extends but have shorter tentacles in higher flow areas. Here’s mine:
They are all towards the bottom of the tank like yours.

First pic: Slightly higher on the rockwork. This galaxea received alot more flow hence the shorter tentacles. This galaxea definitely has the potential for longer tentacles as the mother colony in my lfs has really long tentacles.

The rest: On the sandbed. Receives lower flow.
