Maze Brain help!

Any idea what could be causing this to my brain coral? It already had a brown spot when I purchased it, but 2 weeks later it has this spot that looks as if the tissue is turning white and peeling off...

It kind of looks like a patch of Cyanobacteria. Blow some water at it with a turkey baster or power head and see if it comes off easily.

My brain was stung last week and looks very similar. Perhaps it got stung at the LFS

Thanks for the replies. Is it safe to just leave the dead area? Or does it need to be fragged off?

Should be no reason to frag it but i would dip it to help with any possible infection. If it continues to loose tissue after the dip. There may be a water perimeter issue.
