Hi I just bought this wrasse on Saturday and he has been hiding ever since I got him came out one or two times but my kole tang that is bigger is chasing him around last night. And this morning I went down to check on him and he wasn’t do so good he was laying on the ground breathing heavy so I grabbed my acclimation box and put him in there so the kole tang doesn’t attack him when the lights turn on. I think that he is just hungry so I gave him some food here is some pictures

The acclimation box was a good idea. I would keep him in there a few days. I would also add a mirror to the outside of the tank glass to keep the kole occupied. I recently released a McCoskers in my 180 and he hid for about a week even after the acclimation box process. Good luck.

Thanks Dwest I will do that

So after around 14 hours in the acclimation box he has yet to really move still breathing heavy and doesn’t want to eat

Any pointers to get him to eat
He should settle down soon

has he ever eaten anything for you? Did you quarantine him? If he’s healthy, he will eat soon I would suspect. Certainly you have been given some good food advice above. Mine loved rods food, frozen brine, and flake but not pellets early on.
