Hey everyone. Got a quick question for those familiar with wrasses. Earlier this week I picked up a clown fairy wrasse and a Lubbock fairy wrasse. That are doing great in QT. My LFS has a McCoskers that is 1.5 inches that I'm considering buying. However, his colors are subdued. Without introducing other McCoskers, what are the chances he turns into a supermale with time? Will the presence of two male fairy wrasse help bring him to full coloration? I'm very tempted to purchase him given his size and assumed young age..

Any advice would be awesome [emoji4]

Most fairy and flasher wrasses will transition with or without the presence of females and whether they are or are not in the presence of other fairy or flasher wrasses. I say go for it, just be sure to utilize a social acclimation box for introduction.
