I have a McCoskers Wrasse in qt. He has completed a round of nfg, ttm, two weeks of metro infused food, and one dose of prazi.

I have been doing 2.5 gallon a day water changes while in ttm in order to keep ammonia away.

While on the yesterday I noticed the Wrasse had a large white injury to his right eye. I dosed the tank with methylene blue to keep the fungus and hopefully bacteria away. He seems ok but he hides against the PVC and doesn't seem to be eating. He is breathing normally.

I think either he got crushed by a PVC pipe when I was dumping water in or he got burnt by the heater.

I can't get a pic because the water is too blue right now. I will pull him out and get a pic tonight when I do my water change.

Anything I should do to protect him and allow him to heal properly? Should I start any meds?

Tomorrow he and the other fish are due for round 2 or prazi. Should I hold off on the prazi dose?

I would dose pure (unscented organic) epsom salt at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. You can do two total doses 24-48 hours apart.

Erithromyacin is often best for eye injuries. A pic would be helpful when you can. I’d hold off on prazi for now unless you know you had flukes (confirmed via freshwater dip in dark bucket).

Here's the pic. No confirmed flukes. Just want to get the other fish out of qt and into the display.

The white patch injury is gone. The eye has gotten worse looking though.
