MCT Unofficial challenge tank

So this is just because, and who says you have to justify things you do to others, right? I joined in the friendly competition of running a MCT for a year.

I haven't done too much to it so far. Painted the back and modified the return. Also have it hooked up to a temp controller. Going to try and get by without a top off for now.

Competition officially starts 10/1 so have until the to figure out the scape. Have some zoas a shroom and maybe some other misfits that I will put in. Hoping this will be fun.

I am very excited about this contest and can't wait to see all these tanks starting. Do you have a plan yet for what will go in your tank?

I do. I have decided it will be my "shroom room". I have a bunch of plain Jane green mushrooms that have been chilling in my sump gonna move a few over.
I will admit I have not had any success with many of the mods I have tried. Heater I bought was too big. Ato I got well drilling isn't my thing either. I have it hooked up to a temp monitor and thats about it. I have to see what others do. I am terrible at coming up with workable solutions.

Yeah I am more afraid I would crack or break it vs crashing the tank itself. I have some non conventional ideas I may try if needed in the future but mushrooms are pretty easy so may be able to get away with it.

Broke down and ordered the heater that goes with the tank. Gonna order a step down bit from Amazon tonight and do the top off as well. Oh and I have named the tank mini me because this happened today.....
