Pulled out a lot of algae out, then got my snails in. Already looking better!

I just noticed this on my acropora, not sure what it’s from. I pulled it out to take a look and didn’t see any flatworms or anything, but I’m going to look again after lights out. The snails were on it yesterday eating off the plug but I’ve never heard of them doing this.

It’s been awhile since I posted! I’ve been busy with school, but it’s spring break so I’ve got some time for updates now.
Unfortunately I had another small dino outbreak, which killed all my snails, allowing the algae to come back full force. So I’m back to square one on that. I guess the bright side is that I know the snails can take care of the algae, so once the dinos are gone it’ll be ok.
Ive seen a lot more little critters in the tank recently - the feather dusters had another spawning event and there’s little babies everywhere, there was a boom in copepods (which I thought had died off) and the mini brittle stars seem to be splitting more!

The dinos and algae (I think it’s cladophoropsis) are at a stand off - algae consumes all the nutrients, dinos come out because there’s no nutrients, can’t get rid of the algae because the dinos kill the snails.

looked at some samples under a microscope, turns out I have coolia dinos as well as the ostreopsis now.
