Me and My 4g Reef

I just found out that pompom crabs eat bristle worms

Under blues and whites. Might just be me, but I think it’s looking happier recently

This tank and the journey has been a great read. I am in the midst of setting up a 25 gallon SPS reef but I’ve already been thinking about setting up a pico simple tank for soft corals. I love the idea of something like this!

I’ve been too busy to update this thread for awhile, but hopefully I’ll have some pictures and updates up tomorrow! In the meantime, here’s a couple macro pictures of a new golden yuma mushroom I got. It’s an entry in this months photo contest :D

I’m happy to say that at long last we’re algae and dino free! :D
The return pump has slowed down and I wasn’t getting anywhere near enough flow, so I actually took off the whole return nozzle and put a small power head in that corner. So far it’s working great!

I’m back to doing water changes and running carbon, so I doubt there’s much flucon still in there, but the algae hasn’t come back yet. I also finally managed to get some more snails, and they cleared out any little bits left. I took the frag rack out because it was blocking a lot of light and flow, so everything’s just kinda sitting in there right now.

Tank looks great! Algae and Dinos definitely challenge the persistence of a reefer and I'm glad you have overcome them!

Thanks!! It was definitely frustrating

A couple coral pics! I turned the old blue light on for a minute to see how they look, they’re colors are coming along nicely :D

I have the 9.98 gallon version and it’s a great tank. Looks really good! Pico tanks are the most challenging and rewarding.

Yes thank you, I plan to start a thread for the 9.98 gallon I have. I will show the progress of the build.
