Since we are comparing ME to BRS. I think Randy works for them? LOL. Many people including myself have been using BRS for years. It is cheaper if you buy bulk and mix. At least for the time being? Most people that have switched from brs have seen a difference in quality. Its visible after mixing, as ME clears quicker. Its noticable on potency as brs users have to dial back their dose when switching to ME. After a few weeks people say they see a difference in their coral colors. I have seen and heard this 1,000 times. Just keep your ears open and listen to those who grow and import the nicest corals in this country. Randy really doesnt and hasnt used either ME or BRS he doses Kalk which works for his softy tank but not ME SPS tank. Randy mentioned above that BRS Kh is not USP? That doesnt sound good? I think the mag chloride and mag sulfate are significantly different. As for BRS stating they are Pharmaceutical------Many reefers have asked BRS for copies of their coa or certificate of analysis. This shows if the material has passed or met the quality standards based on purity and impurites found in the product. BRS will not show them to anyone? ME will! So all I say is try it and see if there is a difference as others have found. As mentioned above---its cheaper and better than anything at the LFS. BRS is direct or 1-800? Should your LFS exist in 5-10 years? Or are you happy only buying online? ME supports LFS by letting them make a profit by giving you the ability to have quality products down the street when you need it. Maybe they even have nice corals? Or do you only buy on line 1-800?
