So who else has some mean clowns? I have 2 Davinci clowns and the female is extremely aggressive, not towards eachother so much but towards me. If my skin breaks the surface tension of the water she is attacking me like a piranha until I remove it from the tank. Thankfully she is only about 1.5" long right now so its funnier more than anything. I was just thinking about how she wouldn't leave me alone this morning, figured I would see who else has these types of issues.

you are not alone..lol ;)

Oh my maroon when she grows out, it will be torture..

Had a misbar occelaris that was a gem too! LOL they can be picky about hands being near their host.
I think I'm gonna do maroons on a future build but yeah when they grow out they will definitely let you know your not welcome in their home lol.

We should start a club. They can be down right nasty especially percula and maroons

I currently have several clownfish of clowns in various tanks (including pairs of 7 different species) and the only one that I have to worry about attacking me is the female Fire Clownfish (A. ephipium). My Maroons are not a problem for me although I know that they can be an issue.

My clown goes after my hand and only my hand every time. Tweezers, syringes, sand vacume... completely ignored. But as soon as my hand is in...Chomp!

Can we see a video??

My personal clown will bob her head out of the water at me. Not sure if looking for food or attempting to keep me out. Hands go in and she runs away.

Now clowns at work are crazy! There is an ocellaris clown that will bite anything above her space. Very exciting when cleaning tank next to hers and your elbow is above her tank. Will literally jump 2” to bite.

Maroons, fires and tomatoes are the worse! There’s a few maroons that will grab hold and shake like a shark trying to rip meat off a carcass. The others will hit with enough force to break skin and physically move your hand in the other direction.

The one at your work sounds like mine at home other than the jumping part. I can stick stuff in the water with no problems, as soon as my hand enters its over with. She comes flying from wherever she is currently at in the tank to try biting me the hardest she can. She even goes as far as like you said about a shark eating a carcass every once in awhile.

I had a pair of Clarkiis named Bonnie and Clyde because they murdered everything I put in after them...even ate the eye off a Columbian Shark. I had to pull them out and set up a predator tank just for them that ended up being a prison tank after they killed a mean yellow tang and a trigger too. Clyde somehow skewered himself on a small branching coral (Or did he...?) so Bonnie is by herself in there plotting my demise.
