Measured specific gravity in skimmate

Hi Randy et al,


Have there been any studies or experiments measuring the salt content of skimmate? Specifically related to whether or not protein skimming reduces specific gravity by a meaurable amount.

The water removed by skimming has salinity quite close to that of tank water. So the tank water salinity will decline over time if you are not adding back salt water in about the same amounts.
