Measuring dkh v. Measuring ph

Measuring dkh v. Measuring Ph. If you are measuring dkh, is it redundant to also check the ph? Or should you be measuring both? My understanding is that if dkh is in check, then ph should be in check too, but I may be wrong.

It is not redundant. Reef tanks can have all combinations of low and high alk and low and high pH.

If you measure dph - both would be redundant!
