Okay folks, so today I made a rather expensive purchase of a beautiful meat coral - I couldn't resist it. I promise to post a pic soon - my lights aren't on at the moment.

My question for the day is has anyone had success in keeping a meat coral with 2 dwarf angels? I have a flame and a coral beauty. There are no corals in with them now since I haven't transferred over anything from my other tanks yet, so I don't know if they are going to nip or not. I'm trying to figure out how best to protect my meat coral and my clams, since they are on the pricey side.

Should I shelter them when I add them to the tank?? Any tips would be appreciated.

Only way to be sure is to find out.
I have a Bandit, Flame and Interruptus and so far the leave my corals alone, but I added some acans and a $400 scoly and gone they were when I came home in the evening.

That's not great news! Sorry for your loss...

I have some expensive clams and scoly too, along with this meat coral. I suppose, as you said, I'm just going to have to wait and see.

An interruptus? NICE! I've wanted one for a while, but I've only seen 1 vendor that sells them here in Canada (at close to $3K) and he has been sold out for ages.

I have found most fish eventually love those fleshy corals. My butterfly and foxface eventually ate them. I would not even try the angels if you love that coral. Sorry. Just my thoughts.

Here's a picture. Forgive the "frag tank" look. He's in QT for now along with many others I'll be moving to my new DT. I think he has some beautiful colours!!!

Very nice. I love Acanthophyllia. I have only one myself right now. Huge and colorful. I would personally not risk it. Only fish in with my lps is pair of onyx clowns, lawnmower blenny, and a striped dottyback (my son won at a raffle). This is only my 40g tank though.
