Mecoral dosing

Okay guys so I want to start dosing next week I just did a water change today and will be testing levels tomorrow. So let’s say my alk is at 7.3 and I want it at 8.0 should I do a hand dosing and hit 8.0 or slowly add it ? I’m still confused with alll this lol

Id add alkalinity slowly over a day until its 8 dkh. Slow and steady is better.

Use this and select MEcoral Alk and put in you current levels and then your desired level and it will tell you how much to use. I use the same stuff and love it. Been using it and the calcium for a few months now and have seen great growth. That calculator takes out the guessing work. dose slowly over time and in a high flow area.

Thank you ! I’ve been doing 15 ml of alk and it’s been sitting stable at 450 so I’m clear on that alk I’ve been doing 10ml and it hasn’t moved from 6.7
I might raise it to 15ml tomorrow and see where it takes me

That's plenty high enough.
Continue with your Alk dosing. I personally wouldn't raise it by more than 1 dkh/day

I agree I’m thinking I might do 20ml tomorrow since to raise my alk to 8.2 at what I want it to be at is 40ml
