Hello,
I am running rowaphos in my new media reactor but the sponge to hold the gfo in place keeps moving up so the media can tumble a looooot. any idea how i could fix this? I use a pump that was solld with the reactor (blue marine media reactor mini 80).
Thanks for the help!

OK if I remember my reactor correctly it's OK for the second sponge to be all the way at the top. You control the small amount of tumbling action with a valve, gravity keeps the media at the bottom.

Yes. Slow the water down with a valve. Sponge at top is fine. Media at top is not.

That is the problem this reactor has the pump directly under the tube with no plumbing. I might buy a less powerfull pump

OK I looked up the PDF for your reactor and the pump is around 150 GPH which as you can see is too much for a small amount of Rowa.
However I don't see a reason why you couldn't put a valve on the exit. $5 or $10 buck for a 2 little fishies type valve.
