Hello! Looking for suggestions for a media reactor to run GFO (or similar product) on my 120G. Thanks in advance!

Thanks Mark. I’ve heard some complaints about the top being hard to unscrew after it’s been used for a while. Any thoughts on this?
I run two of them, one for carbon and one for Phosban. Both of mine are in my sump currently and before I had them out of my sump. I don't crank down on the top at all, just hand tight plus a little to seal the gasket. They open fine when I need them to. No leaks, but if you can put them in the sump, you don't need to worry as much about a small drip and hence don't need to tighten as much.

Thanks! Mine will need to go outside the sump. But I appreciate your experience

Brs media reactors. Simple and cheap.
I run mine outside the sump.

Theres a mini one too.

i use the aquamaxx ones and love them
I was looking for Aquamaxx but I think it was a brand owned by MarineDepot. When BRS took over MD they don’t list Aquamaxx reactors. If you poke around a bit you can find that they are out of stock. I’m wondering if BRS is trying to divert buyers to their own brand.

Thanks @Saltyreef I use their rodi systems and I’m not sure I like the same screw top design for a reactor. But I do respect how BRS is taking a group of components and repurposing them for many uses.

Anytime :)
Its actually a very proven leak free design.
The housing unscrews from the head assembly for easy replacement of media. Parts readily available worldwide incase something cracks....
Replacable o-ring.

Mounts up and out of the way if you want to use it under the stand....

What dont you like about it, just curious?

Seems some other designs would be a PITA to change out media...

I’ve found opening the cylinders can be a pain since they need to be fairly tight to avoid leaking. But I’ll definitely think about it.

They made something for that.

Also. Lube your oring in molykote 111 and forget the wrench :)

Haha. I’ve used the wrench thanks.

@MarkDarnell @Kfactor @Saltyreef @Jseimo @90's reefer thanks so much for your responses. After looking at all of your suggestions, I decided to go with the Two Little Fishes reactor because of the physical size of the area under my sump. I also learned that if I ever rework my plumbing, I'll add a manifold breakout so I don't have to add an additional pump to my sump. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Before I used my manifold, I used a little MaxiJet 1200 and that worked for me just fine.
