Please someone help me!!, I just set up my tank a few days ago, and I purchased a media reactor and a container of Phosban. I rinsed the Phosban before putting it in, and I turned the pump to just tumble the media gently. There is a lot of phos media on my sand bed now. It is very fine sand so it creates a storm when I try to move the media around on the sand bed. What can I do to get this unsightly Dark Phosban of my bright tan sand.

I am not sure what kind of reactor you purchased but next time you may want to get a bucket of RODI water and flush it buy submersing the pump and flushing the RODI water through the reactor and into your sink until you see it run clear. Then set the reactor up on your tank. The only thing I can think of is to turn off your pumps and use a siphon to suck out the bits of phosban from your sandbed. In any case, I wish you luck.

Is the any other way rather than siphon? creates a storm whenever I move something by the sand.

Honestly I do not think so. Its just one of them live and learn kind of things. Get the tank dirty when your fixing it up and it will all settle before too long.

I guess so hey. I'm worried about the siphon pulling out a ton of sand at the same time

I would siphon out all the sand and put a bigger grain size in. If your having that much trouble with it now it won't get any better.

If you want to keep the sand just skim the top, you'll lose some sand but not much.

You may lose some sand but I don't think it will be anything substantial. Try siphoning with a peice of airline tubing so your not sucking out tons of water and you can more easily aim it.
