Is a media reactor necessary? I was thinking about a Media Reactor in my sump for my 75 gallon FOWLR tank. I do regular water changes once a week and I still have a Nitrate issues. Will adding a media reactor help lower the nitrates? What media should I use. I was looking at the Reef Octopus MF800B reactor. It comes with a pump and everything I need. Should I even be worried about my nitrates since I don't have any corals in the tank. I don't have any fish issues at all. They all are healthy and their colors are very bright. My oldest fish in the tank is going on 9 years. Water is always crystal clear. Thoughts?
